To say or not to say, that is the question!
Posting in these days was really hard to me.So I did`n t post any photos while there were many shots waiting to post from the series. However this shot is taken at the same day as previous ones, but it`s totally different to me.Some days ago was the anniversary of a terrible disaster that is so important to me & many students in Iran.18th of Tir(in Persian calender,9th of July).I`m hesitated to say it or not, cause I`m afraid that it annoys you.I know it sounds unbelievable to you but it`s real!
9 years ago in July 8th, a small number of students in Tehran gathered to protest against increasing restrictions on freedom of expression. Following the forced closure of the newspaper "Salam" (Hello) on 7 July, demonstrations swelled into the hundreds. But it was a normal & peaceful objection like some other ones in the past.At the midnight the demonstration was forced to end up by the security police guards & some members of a semi-official organization named "Ansar-Hezbollah".
At about 1 am,almost all of the students was gone to their dormitory to sleep. But here the most tragic accident happen!A big tragedy that is of course a unique one that`s happened to the students in the entire world.
In the very early morning, when it`s still dark & students was all in sleep, the hardliners (in protection of police forces) attack violently to the dormitories of students.Breaking down the door of the rooms, beating the students by slats,bats,bayonets,...!throwing out someone from the 2nd & 3rd floor, busting many of students violently while they were all bleeding, setting fire to rooms,...
The next day, 9th of July, all of the students gone into the a rage, start planing a huge demonstration to protest against the violence of the hardliners. In the following days the size and nature of the demonstrations changed dramatically, leading to an escalation in violence.Despite calls for calm from some student leaders, and an official ban on demonstrations in Tehran, demonstrations continued and spread to other towns and cities. Hundreds of people were arrested throughout the country, most of whom were held without charge or trial. Dozens faced torture and ill-treatment in incommunicado detention, followed by manifestly unfair trials and imprisonment. It`s really surprising that no one of the hardliners was even accused but tens of students was imprisoned in solitary confinement & tortured to confess what they have`n t had done!
It was a summary of what was happened 9 years ago that is reputed "the 18th of tir uprising"(18 tir , 18تیر).
Ahmad ebrahim-nejad,the brother of martyr "ezzat ebrahim-nejad" has said lately that he has some evidences that shows there were 7 people died in the 9th of July uprising.
